麼會是中國人？我台灣人呀！我在台灣出生，在台灣長大呀！」
是身份認同問題，沒有甚麼好爭論探討的。倒是從此學乖了，不會隨便跟同事說：「我們大家中國人。」
母校台灣國立政治大學剛發表的民意調查顯示，「台灣人認同指數」再度上揚。即與上述這位同事想法一樣的人越來越多。
政治大學是在一九九二年開始這項調查。當年的「台灣人認同指數」是負7.9%。
二○○○年24.4%。二○○七年38.3%。二○一二年50.6%。二○一四年57.1%。
調查顯示認同自己是台灣人的佔60.6%。認同自己是台灣人也是中國人的佔32.5%。認同自己是中國人的佔3.5%。
調查亦顯示，在台灣，贊成獨立的人越來越多。相反，贊成統一的人越來越少。
台灣學者鈕則勳接受《明報》訪問說，有三個原因：
一，一九四九年隨國民黨政權撤退到台灣的外省人已經凋零，台灣新生代的中國意識不強。
二，陳水扁執政八年「去中國化」政策成功。
三，馬英九上任，推動兩岸交流，但內部宣傳不足，被在野黨反宣傳擊敗。老百姓很多認為交流只是財團及特定人士得益。
調查是在去年底進行，即是台灣太陽花運動之後，也是人大八月三十一日對香港真普選落閘之後，或許正是香港雨傘運動如火如荼之時。中國政府對香港真普選如此不守信用，如此粗暴橫蠻，生活在真普選世界的台灣人，他們會怎麼想，心照不宣。

後記
過年要一家團聚，有哥有嫂有家姐有姐夫。當然有一大堆姪及甥及他們的另一半。說也奇怪，凡三十幾人，由十幾歲到七十幾歲，姓葉或不姓葉，二分法，九成九是黃絲帶。大嫂原來在《蘋果》被圍的日子裏，會去搶購《蘋果》。而年輕姪甥，更是雨傘運動的積極支持者。
但更奇怪的是，我太太外家九成九是藍絲帶。
